Full-timing in our 24-foot 2006 Forest River Sunseeker 2200 as of June 1, 2011, I've added solar panels and a catalytic heater so that we can camp off-grid comfortably. My dog, Katie, is great company. We traveled a bit in the Western States our first year, and visited the deserts of Arizona and most of the New Mexico State Parks the next four. This year - 2016 - I'm hoping to find a park model to buy so we will have a home base, but we'll continue to travel, too. What a life! :)

Computer will be back tomorrow!
According to the FedEx tracking, my repaired computer with a new or refurbished hard drive will be delivered tomorrow. I've been going through a bit of computer withdrawal but still doing okay. Having my Kindle Fire has been a big help. I've watched a few movies - kept up with e-mail - played a few games (I downloaded a really good domino game that was free) - and kept up with all your blog posts.
I have lots of news, photos of HORSES (YEAAAAA!), a photo of a dead mouse (YEAAAAA) -it was very cute :(, etc.
As soon as I get the computer I'll be leaving Bluewater Lake because my two weeks are up. I plan to do some parking lot camping while getting the computer up to speed and will be returning to Bluewater Lake in a week or so.
No photos today. I'm not quite sure how I'd import them.
From me and Katie - have a great Monday everyone!
(It sure is different typing with only my index finger on this little screen.)
I find it liberating to do without a computer for short spells, just like I'm finally withdrawn from TV.
ReplyDeleteExcuse the big paragrapg post -I can't figure out how to make my draft with several paragraphs look the same when published.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of amazed and impressed that you were able to get used to the Kindle fire enough to do your blog!
ReplyDeleteJust think...24 hours to go!
Glad u r getting ur computer back. It's always great to read ur posts. Also very happy the mouse is gone.
ReplyDeleteRe: mice... I use Irish spring(can get at dollar store) cut into 4ths and thrown in the basement bays, also Bounce dryer sheets, they HAVE got to be Bounce, those are strewn all over the RV and tucked into places, the towel drawer.. and I have NOT had any kind of mice problem and the RV sits in a field, where I have seen the cats chasing them all over.... just info..
ReplyDeleteThis will be like a reemergence back to the real world of computing. Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteoh computer woes....mine needs fixed too. bought a netbook to use for light stuff. check my blog for a great savings with Best Buy for things you may buy there!
ReplyDeleteWhat would we all do without our technology? It is nice having a Kindle Fire, smartphone, laptop, and netbook. I'm sure you'll be happy to get your laptop back!
ReplyDeleteSo Bluewater is nice enough to return to? Well, duh, Roxi, but it must be very pleasant.
ReplyDeleteWe're looking at new computers -mine keeps dying and is so frustrating. I don't think I could ever get a blog post done on my phone. A dead mouse? not sure I want to see that one.
ReplyDeleteI have a kindle fire Hd. I haven't tried a post yet but I bought a cover that included a keyboard for about $35.00. It certainly makes it easier than using the screen. I have wondered if you could email a pic from a phone to the cloud and download it into the blog.... Just a thought. We certinly depend on the blog for contact and I always fear getting far, far behind.
ReplyDeleteI know you will be glad to get the computer back! Can't wait to see the horses....such magnificent animals! So glad the mouse is gone. I love my Kindle....it's not the newest, but I love to play word games. I actually got scrabble free awhile back!
ReplyDeleteHugs to Katie!
Without a computer you almost have to relearn how to do other things! That's good news you'll finally get that computer again.
ReplyDeleteI could NEVER have gone that long without my computer !
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny how dependent we get on our computers! My desktop died yesterday, hopefully it's just a bad part. Thankfully I've still got my laptop so I can still file my work reports. But its keyboard is quite different :-( Looking forward to the horse pictures (and the dead mouse - yuck, but glad it's gone).
