Full-timing in our 24-foot 2006 Forest River Sunseeker 2200 as of June 1, 2011, I've added solar panels and a catalytic heater so that we can camp off-grid comfortably. My dog, Katie, is great company. We traveled a bit in the Western States our first year, and visited the deserts of Arizona and most of the New Mexico State Parks the next four. This year - 2016 - I'm hoping to find a park model to buy so we will have a home base, but we'll continue to travel, too. What a life! :)

Wordless Wednesday - Hummingbird Photos
These were all taken at Storrie Lake, mostly yesterday. The difference in how they look in the shade and the sunshine is amazing. I'm not sure if I have two kinds of hummers here, or more. Anyway, they are all gorgeous, and so much fun to watch!
From me and Katie, have a great Wordless Wednesday, everyone! :)
Your photography is really getting good. A real pleasure to look at.
ReplyDeleteWow!! I don't think that my camera is good enough to take pictures like that. Love the pictures. We have a humming bird feeder just outside the kitchen window. It gets visited quite often through out the day. Also have other feeders for the rest of the bird kingdom. It is surprising just how much feed they can eat in a day. What they spill the rabbits and squirrels clean up.
ReplyDeleteOK I am getting a camera just like yours! Of course I do realize it is the skill behind the lens that gets great photos. These are worthy of National Geographic. I love to read your blog and learn about your bird watching adventures.

your pictures are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThose pics are amazing!!! First, it is soooo hard to get a good picture because the little fellows never stand still very long. You have some excellent captions. Thanks for sharing...one of my favorite birds!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just cannot decide if my favorite bird is a hummingbird, or a woodpecker. Thanks for the photos, just love watching hummingbirds. --Dave (GoingRvWay.com)
ReplyDeleteYou do really well at capturing those little cuties. I can capture landscapes well, but birdies.....not so much.... I do have an interesting collection of tail shots though....
ReplyDeleteTerrific shots, Barb! I like hummingbirds almost as much I love bald eagles and roadrunners.
ReplyDeleteOn a sad note. I just found a dead hummingbird (a female rubythroated) laying on the lid of one of my garbage cans. Now why would it go there to die?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, Barbara! You do a fantastic job at caputring so much detail with these little guys! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteIncredible photos!!!! Great job!!
ReplyDeleteyou got some great photos of those little birds!!! wish mine were as good as yours!
