Nothing going on today. I had big plans of getting The Palms and bringing her over to the beach for the weekend, and stealth camping at night. But Friday got busy, Saturday I slept in too late, and today I'm too lazy. That pretty much took care of the 3-day weekend!
I have another week in the condo before I move to The Palms.
A follower asked how Katie is doing with all this. It's hard to tell. She's been sleeping at work, in the car, and on the floor in the dining room or guest bedroom since all this started. At least she is still at home, and has her back yard. I think she's kind of unsure, but as long as she's with me, she's okay. And usually the rest of the time she is sleeping. We both seem to be sleeping a lot lately. I think the stress is tiring us out, although I don't feel stressed. I'm not depressed, but I'm sure sleeping a lot. That will change when I'm in The Palms and more comfortable, I hope, and have everything I need to be busy again. : )
I went to Verizon yesterday to swap out my battery in my 4G, I think that was the problem. So far it's working pretty well. So now I'm going to try to watch a little TV. I still have a bunch of TV shows to catch up on.
From Me and My Dog, have a great Sunday evening, everyone! : )
Full-timing in our 24-foot 2006 Forest River Sunseeker 2200 as of June 1, 2011, I've added solar panels and a catalytic heater so that we can camp off-grid comfortably. My dog, Katie, is great company. We traveled a bit in the Western States our first year, and visited the deserts of Arizona and most of the New Mexico State Parks the next four. This year - 2016 - I'm hoping to find a park model to buy so we will have a home base, but we'll continue to travel, too. What a life! :)

Sometimes we don't sleep because we are physically tired, just mentally drained. I have been having that sort of a weekend too! It's only 48 days until we head to Houston to pick up Tara and drive her the 3500km home (in a week) and the planning of it is very labor intensive (in my brain!).
ReplyDeleteIf your body wants to sleep, I say don't worry about it. Let it sleep!
It will take some time to get used to living in The Palms, but it will work out fine. It's a nice unit for sure!
Cheers!
Holding my breath until you take off. Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteHi, do you have "Walgreens" stores near you. They have a lot of "Palms" themed summer items, towels and pot holders and plastic table stuff for summer.
ReplyDeleteIt's really cute, I almost bought some of the kitchen towels.
I think mental fatigue causes the need for sleep. Not too many months ago, I was sleeping a lot. Getting up way later than I normally would.
I don't think you realize just how stressful a situation you have been in for the last few weeks or perhaps months. Although very exciting to begin a new way of life, your body has had to adjust to many different circumstances - physically and emotionally. Sometimes sleep is the only freedom that we know. Yes sleep is considered to be a blissful thing that rejuvenates us from all day’s stress and strain.
