My first Roadrunners of the season!
I was hoping I'd see a Roadrunner this year - last year I don't think I had any good shots - and I've had four different Roadrunner sightings so far, once in another site and
three times walking through my site on it's way to the wash. I think I must be on a Roadrunner walking trail. :)
These are all the decent photos I've gotten so far:
And my last Roadrunner shot for today:
I'll get more.... and I'm hoping to get better shots, too.
From me and Katie, have a great Thursday, everyone! :)
Full-timing in our 24-foot 2006 Forest River Sunseeker 2200 as of June 1, 2011, I've added solar panels and a catalytic heater so that we can camp off-grid comfortably. My dog, Katie, is great company. We traveled a bit in the Western States our first year, and visited the deserts of Arizona and most of the New Mexico State Parks the next four. This year - 2016 - I'm hoping to find a park model to buy so we will have a home base, but we'll continue to travel, too. What a life! :)

ReplyDeleteGreat shots, I hear they are hard to catch on camera. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteTerrific photos! I remember watching the roadrunner cartoon and never dreaming that I'd one day see them up close, or see so many photos of them.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, you did a fantastic job. There used to be a lot them around here until it started building up all around me.

ReplyDeleteThose are great pictures, I've nver got a usable shot.
Really nice roadrunner photos. They are interesting birds. You'll have fun watching them. If there are mockingbirds around, the mockingbirds will attack the roadrunners as roadrunners will eat baby birds.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how your pictures could be any better. Would you please make sure he's around when I get there because it's been forever since I've seen one.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! and I love Roadrunners... I always think of ACME when I see one.. hahaa beep beep
ReplyDeleteThey are our favorites, too, but it's been a long time since we've seen one.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I hope to see and get a roadrunner picture when we return. I didn't see any last year.
ReplyDeleteLove roadrunners....they are such cheeky little birds
ReplyDeleteI saw 3 roadrunners last year. Two running away from me and one from such a distance that my camera took a photo of a blur. Lucky, lucky, you.
ReplyDeleteThey are hard to photograph because they are always on the move and VERY alert to movements. You are very lucky, great shots.
ReplyDeleteI love when they run and stop. It is: body stretched flat out, stop, and up goes head and tail like a big V.
Very funny.
I've only ever caught a quick glimpse. Was fun to see your photos here!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a roadrunner! Thanks for sharing the photos - they look awesome to me.
