My teeny-tiny Christmas Tree and 3 Katie photos

This year I finally found a tiny Christmas Tree that easily fits on my dinette table, and will be super easy to store during the year.  I got the tree at Quiet Times and purchased tiny flowers to wrap around the branches, a few little bags of gold ornaments and a string of battery operated lights.  And Waaaa Laaaa! - my Christmas Tree:

A close-up of the tiny cloth flowers, gold musical ornaments, gold and white round bulb ornaments and lights:

That's all I've done this year to decorate for Christmas, but I love my little tree.  When I was done decorating it the other day, it looked exactly they way I pictured it.  :)

Here's Katie - when we get back from our walk, or a drive with Hazel and the Greyhounds and I take Katie off her leash, she runs home and waits for me.  Notice her left front paw raised?  She still does that a lot when she "sits."

And here she is playing ball - she'll bite her tennis ball, shake her head back and forth until she loses it, and then she wants me to get it for her.

Mom??  Mom??  Mom??

I DO usually get it for her because I don't want to trip on it and, having gone through this over and over, I know she ISN'T going to get it and put it on the couch, out of my way.  Just like a kid.  LOL!  I remember, back in the day, when "playing ball" meant I'd throw it and Katie would run and get it

From me and Katie, have a great Friday, everyone!  :)

  1. I remember "Quiet Times" there in Q-zite....the lady that was there 2 years ago when I went was so nice!! By the way, the tree is lovely! Also, wanted to send you a link to my blog---jdlamb1.blogspot.com so you could learn a little more about one of your newest followers, though I have been lurking/reading your blog nearly 2 years now....

  3. What a nice little tree. I would love to put one on like that on our table, but our crazy cats would have it knocked down in no time. Be thankful for calm little Katie!

  4. Your tree is perfect & very beautifully decorated. We have a tabletop tree also & love it. Isn't it funny how our pets train us! It's obvious that, no matter who is in charge, Katie adores playing ball with you! She's adorable!

  7. Perfect size for the Palm. Everything is still usable. When I put up a little tree in my trailer, I tied it down to the table with elastic. Unfortunately the ornaments became kitty toys. Great entertainment tho!!
Katie is adorable posing for you!! All she needs is a Christmas bow.

  8. The tree is ideal! Love the Katie pix. Doris does the paw raise when she's hungry.

  10. Katie sure has you "trained" on that ball. Sammy is the same way, he will bite the squeaky toy, whirl it around, and when it's tossed out of his way, he will look at me like "okay, your turn to get it now and bring to me".
    LOL

Little trees are so cute, yours looks precious!!!

    Have a Merry Christmas!!!!

  11. Very nice job on the Christmas tree. It's almost as cute as Katie...nah, she's cute year-round. It looks like you have some sort of plastic tray with boxes on the table -- one holding the tree. Is that something always there to keep things from sliding around?

  12. The tree is perfect. We have a small one also. Katie is such a hoot. Skittlez sits with her paw up also. And she will drop the toy off the bed and then just hang over the edge staring at it until Jim picks it up for her. What would we do without them.

  13. C.J. Hall: Yes - I have a little clear box that holds three small drawers with round gold handles. It was just stashed in a cupboard, and one day I took the drawers out and lined them up at the edge of the dinette table and clipped them together with tiny silver binder clips.

I put some sticky cork board material on the drawer bottoms and now I have three places to put things. A plant (and for now the tree) in one, my coffee warmer in the middle one, and my camera, remotes, etc. in the other. Keeps things handy and in place. :)

  14. cute tree! Similar to ours. I am not going to like taking down some of the decorations. They add cheer.

  16. Love your 'teeny-tiny' tree. I still haven't done any decorating - tomorrow for sure. I'm in this teeny-tiny RV park and many of the other rigs have very sophisticated and beautiful decorations. I can't compete with my 25-footer. Anyway, I love your tree and think Katie is a cute as can be when she poses with the raised paw.

  20. Katie is so cute.

I love your tiny tree. We have one that is a little larger than that, but fits nicely on our desk top, however Mr. Baxter can't leave it alone, so I took it back to the storage shed. sigh....maybe next year.

  25. The tree is extra special because it looks like I picture a Christmas tree should look like - decorated with special-to-you ornaments! It definitely suits the homey look of your rig.

  26. I've signed up to follow your blog, at this time I'm a lurker planning to sell my house in a year and full time in a class c rv similar to yours. I've read some of your past posting and it's so interesting. I've also go a little Chihuahua, his name is Corky and he travels very well.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. BTW I do not have a blog, yet...

  27. Love your little tree, it's beautiful and very "you". Katie is such an adorable dog. Get her a racketball for Christmas. Harley loves his tennis balls but he can entertain himself for hours with the blue racketball. It's a little smaller than a tennis ball and it squishes and "pops" out when they bite it. He loves to chase a ball but he will sit there and play with his racketball instead of giving it back to throw.

  28. 10 years ago we got to Corpus Christi, TX on Christmas Eve. It was my wife, handicapped son and our Rat Terrier Snoopy. Our daughter flew in from college in Mineapolis and we picked her up at the airport at 3:30 PM. When we got to the campground there was 6" of snow on the ground and waves lapping on the beach and palm trees. First time they had had snow in over 50 years. We had a little 1' tall Christmas Tree with LED lights. Probably the most memorable Christmas we've ever had.
