I've been thinking about getting curtains lately, and when Hazel posted about Delores' new solar screening shades it started me thinking again. While I was in San Diego, I checked Target, Walmart, Home Depot and finally Anna's Linens.
Anna's Linens (click on this link if you don't have an Anna's nearby and want to check them out through amazon.com) was the only store I could find that had sheer window curtains short enough to work for The Palms and these were perfect. They also had a lot in stock, so I was able to get exactly what I needed.
Because of the colors and all the palms in the motor home, I had to get a plain white sheer curtain, but they had others. The link above goes to another curtain that I originally bought for the kitchen. I loved it, but the colors and patten just didn't "go" with my palms, so I had to return it.
I think they look pretty good and I'm really happy with them.
I loved having a green, living plant in The Palms, so while in San Diego I got a couple of smaller plants for the kitchen and dinette table. I'm really enjoying them, too.
From me and Katie, have a great Tuesday, everyone! :)
Beautiful job! Bright and cheerful - well-suited for The Palms.
ReplyDeleteI love your new little curtains... they let in the light but add privacy! Perfect!!
ReplyDeleteThose are really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey give the Palms a real cozy look. Did you just hang them up with a regular curtain rod? I was just wondering with the valances on the wall.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about sheer curtains being hard to find. Glad you had a store that carried them.
New curtains look great to me, always nice to let the sunshine in!
ReplyDeleteThey look really pretty and will give you just the privacy you want.
ReplyDeleteThey look great. I love your little home. Thank you for your support, too!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think about Anna's for sheer curtains. My whole house has sheers, and to look at them they are the originals (1962!). Speaking of green house plants, everyone should have an aloe plant in their kitchen area. They give instant relief from any kind of burn, and speed healing. The multiply like mad, so plan on giving them to friends!
ReplyDeleteGood looking curtains! Gives the Palms a homier look. :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I love the spot of lace on the bottoms.
ReplyDeleteYou've done well with those curtains. I really like the look inside your rig with them up. Great job, Barbara. Give Katie a big hug and smooch from us.
ReplyDeleteLove he curtains. I like to have light, but still have privacy too.
ReplyDeleteWay nice! I really like the sheers. We are heading to San Diego ( hopefully Friday if our slide motor gets fixed) so I will plan on going to Anna's Linens. I want curtains for the bedroom. I also agree with you about the plants...every home needs them. Thanks Gypsy....I might try the aloe next. Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteThe shears look great and should be easy to take down and was from time to time. I haven't rushed into any decorating around the Alfa, but what little I have done sure makes it feel mor like home.
ReplyDeleteLove the new curtains! They really make the Palms look cozy. Great choice in fabric.
ReplyDeleteNice look. Anna's is a great place for buying when you need a lot of the same curtains. When I was decorating the tin can cabin I had to come all the way back to Tucson for curtians at Anna's that was a 4 hr drive. :)
ReplyDeletelovely curtains, good choice! hard to have plants in an RV they take up space for other things (like crafts, haha) but I have one and it really adds something to the RV. Helps clean the air too, they say!
ReplyDeleteI love your curtains and would like to have some in my RV. Not sure how I would attach the rods though.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Looks so nice and homey !!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, The Palms always looks so nice and you keep doing things that make it even nicer again !! Good for you.
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty -- I love sheers! They look great in the kitchen too. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHi, we just started our full time journey and three plants made the cut, two orchids and a bamboo plant. I was a little worried about how they'd do, but I shouldn't have; one orchid that had refused to bloom for a while is now sporting a dozen buds!
ReplyDeleteGood job and very nice curtain on window
ReplyDeleteI like the new curtains. They look great! They add much needed softness to your RV’s interior. And the bottom part of the curtain is certainly my personal favorite!

Who said that splendid curtains like this just belong in a house? You can also apply them to your RV! Well, recreational vehicles are considered by many people as their homes these days, so why not apply this kind of trend on your RV, right? ;) Yours was awesome. I really liked it!
