Wordless Wednesday - Hummingbird Photos

These were all taken at Storrie Lake, mostly yesterday.  The difference in how they look in the shade and the sunshine is amazing.  I'm not sure if I have two kinds of hummers here, or more.  Anyway, they are all gorgeous, and so much fun to watch!

From me and Katie, have a great Wordless Wednesday, everyone!  :)

  2. Wow!! I don't think that my camera is good enough to take pictures like that. Love the pictures. We have a humming bird feeder just outside the kitchen window. It gets visited quite often through out the day. Also have other feeders for the rest of the bird kingdom. It is surprising just how much feed they can eat in a day. What they spill the rabbits and squirrels clean up.

  3. OK I am getting a camera just like yours! Of course I do realize it is the skill behind the lens that gets great photos. These are worthy of National Geographic. I love to read your blog and learn about your bird watching adventures.

  4. Those pics are amazing!!! First, it is soooo hard to get a good picture because the little fellows never stand still very long. You have some excellent captions. Thanks for sharing...one of my favorite birds!!!!

  6. You do really well at capturing those little cuties. I can capture landscapes well, but birdies.....not so much.... I do have an interesting collection of tail shots though....

  7. Terrific shots, Barb! I like hummingbirds almost as much I love bald eagles and roadrunners.

  8. On a sad note. I just found a dead hummingbird (a female rubythroated) laying on the lid of one of my garbage cans. Now why would it go there to die?
