WELCOME to our new Followers, trailercamper! Trailercamper and his wife, Mia, are planning a retirement trip to begin in the next four years. They are planning to take six or seven months and travel around the country. Sounds like a good plan to me! I'll enjoy following you as you make plans for your grand trip. Thanks for following along with me and Katie on ours! We're happy to have you along. :)
I am still amazed every day that I'm living in a house on wheels with all the comforts I have here.
I look out my front (cab) window and see tons of these birds, picking at the grass and street.
There are cats that roam through some of the campgrounds we've been at. Here's our current resident cat:
He spent a lot of time around that garbage can, watching the birds, and finally hopped up on the rim and reached into the can to get something. The birds came close to him, but he didn't go after them.
This is one of the bridges crossing the creek up at the end near us. This creek is wide and fast, and looks deep. I'd sure hate to fall into it.
This next photo is what I see looking out my kitchen window in the back of The Palms It's so pretty, and when the wind blows, all these grasses blow around.
The view out this window constantly changes. I've had views of forests, beaches, lush lawns, and sometimes asphalt or a busy rest stop parking area. From the sublime to the... not so sublime.
When I make coffee in the morning, sometimes I think, "How can I be here, in a little house on six wheels in the middle of a park, making my coffee? With this beautiful view?" How can this be? Pretty amazing. I hope I never lose the wonder I feel living in The Palms.
I left a question regarding my post updating problem on the Google Help Forum and I've had an answer from Peter. It sounds like he knows what he's talking about, and Rick agreed with his opinion. It was that some photos I had posted on August 31 weren't the right kind of photos, and he listed two that needed to be deleted. So I went back in and deleted them, and updated them with JPG files instead. I remember that day searching through my photos for appropriate pics, and there were a couple I did a "cut and paste" with, instead of inserting them the usual way. I was surprised at the time that I could cut and paste. I guess it worked, but not very well, because apparently those two photos have been causing all the post updating issues from that date forward.
I hope that took care of everything and we're back to normal now. I guess one of the takeaways from all this is that if we have issues with Blogger, we can click on the "Help" at the top right of our screens and leave a question in the forum and we just might get back a good solution.
The sun is shining here today, and it's a nice, warm 73 degrees in The Palms right now. I hope all is well in your world, too.
From Me and My Dog, have a great Saturday, everyone! :)
All fixed! It was good to see an update. Who wouldn've thought the problem would be a couple of photos?
ReplyDeleteSo happy that you are enjoying your new life!
Halleluiah and welcome back to Google Reader and Dashboard. It is amazing that such a simple seemingly unrelated issue such as cutting and pasting pictures would cause such a disruption. Sure lets you know how many people have been missing you. I stayed on top of your posts by digging them out of your blog but I am glad to not have to do that anymore. Anyway, welcome back!
ReplyDeleteYAY!! Problem solved! You're up at the top of the blog roll!! :)
ReplyDeleteSince Judy hasn't responded to your bird question: those large black and white birds are Magpies.

ReplyDeleteIt seems that perseverence in finding the answer to the blog problem is the key! Thanks for taking the time to fix yours!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!!!! So glad you're updating on my blog roll again. Sounds like you ans Katie are enjoying some nice weather.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you're back on my update roll again. Been trying to read all the posts I missed so I can catch up with you. Where are you now?
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!
ReplyDeleteHey there! I've been seeing you languishing there at the bottom of my blogroll - glad that's cleared up.
ReplyDeleteMY problem is that about 50 blogs on my roll are not updating, either. I've asked for help several times, as clearly and politely and completely as possible, but can't get anyone's attention. How did you flag someone down?
Glad everything is working again!
ReplyDeleteYou sure are in a beautiful park - nice photos!
Yeah! It works!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are up & going again!
ReplyDeleteYup, as I go down thru my reading list, there you were. In the present!
ReplyDeleteglad you are back!!..and how good to solve a simple issue!...just that easy!!
ReplyDeleteYay, success!!!! Glad it finally got resolved :-))
ReplyDeleteNice to have everyone able to read your updated blog again.
ReplyDeleteI was able to see and read it but it jumped up and down all the time. Seems with the rest of the fix it fixed that to.
Yup, that bird sure looks like a Magpie to me. There were a lot of them that we saw on our recent foray across Oregon. They are fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteWas beginning to wonder. Sometimes "no news" isn't necessarily "good" news.
ReplyDeleteAll is well. This is good.
Keep on keeping on.
:)
You're back on my current blog roll again. Glad you got it fixed.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will always be amazed by looking out your windows. If not, just move to a more amazing place!
Yay for getting your blog feed fixed -- and yay for camp kitties!
ReplyDeleteI'm moving closer and closer to getting on the road, and I'm hoping it'll be soon. I can't wait -- and reading your adventures just makes me more eager.
